Kyle Banks is an actor, vocalist, and lifelong music enthusiast whose career spans both the stage and the business side of the entertainment industry. He has performed professionally on and off Broadway and has worked as a music business development and strategy consultant for Sony Music Entertainment, Wynn Las Vegas, and Hard Rock gaming casinos.

In 2015, while performing in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway, Kyle was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Recognizing the lack of accessible, culturally relevant information and resources in communities of color, he founded the Kyler Cares Foundation in partnership with Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

Kyler Cares is dedicated to improving health outcomes for people of color living with diabetes by expanding access to diabetes technology, strengthening connections to education and care resources, and fostering community as an essential layer of support. The organization collaborates with hospital systems nationwide, advises government agencies, and is currently piloting a diabetes management support program in partnership with the NYC Department of Health.
